Tekkalakota is a panchayat town in Bellary district in the Indian state of Karnataka.

As of 2001[update] India census[1], Tekkalakota had a population of 23,578. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Tekkalakota has an average literacy rate of 30%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 41%, and female literacy is 20%. In Tekkalakota, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.Its an upcoming village now percentage of literacy is increased.
Main crop is Paddy,Cotton.
