Temperature strips are flexible, often disposable visual indicators used to quickly and easily take and monitor surface temperature. They are used in laboratory, food and beverage, hospital and home applications, and often use a gradient color-scheme to communicate a safe or out-of-tolerance condition. They also see use in racing when teams need to monitor the temperature of certain parts of the car, such as when the rear suspension has hot exhaust blowing over it. The temperature strip can measure in different units as fahrenheit or celsius.
