Auto polo[edit]

Chicago Auto polo game in the 1910s.

  • ... that Auto polo (pictured) was promoted by a Kansas car salesman to sell Model Ts?
  • ALT 1 ... that Auto polo (pictured) was once described as a "lunatic game"?

  • Fun article! Date and length fine, photos licensed. Hook correctly formatted and cited (great hook photo!). Well-researched. No copy vios. One small point: Refs 1 and 7 suggest that the Kansas connection started in 1911, not 1912. Do you have alternate info? Thank you for your article. Anne (talk) 16:22, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
I changed the date to 1911. The official "first" match was on July 20, 1912 but I guess he could of thought of it the year before as the source suggests. Had fun writing it. There was also a Paris Auto Polo Association in the 1950s formed by American ex-pats that supposedly kept score by hitting pedestrians [1]. I didn't include because I can't tell if they're serious or if it's satire. Froggerlaura ribbit 16:44, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
You're all set. I agree with you; I couldn't tell whether the article was serious! Anne (talk) 17:41, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
