Grace Gates[edit]

Grace Gates

Created by The C of E (talk). Self nominated at 08:57, 1 January 2014 (UTC).

  • Length is OK even after the quote is excluded. Well referenced, including the hook. Some facts in the lede are not repeated in the main body (info only). No obvious paraphrasing. I think the hook is unusual as it doesn't mention why this fact is important. Can I suggest
  • (alt1)... that the Lord's Grace Gates (pictured) were nearly moved as they were being damaged by turning lorries?
  • agree with revision --Bill (talk) 20:34, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
  • I'm not sure what "agree with revision" means here, since Bill is not the nominator. It would be better if C of E weighed in on the ALT hook, and it needs to be checked for sourcing and verification of statement in the article. — Maile (talk) 18:48, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
  • I think he means that he agrees with the revised hook and the original review. If you want my view on the alt, I have absolutely no problem with it since it is essentially the same hook only with "nearly moved" in it. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 20:05, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
  • I'll let the promoter decide about that. It just just stood out as a comment lacking specifics from a new editor who doesn't seem to have otherwise been involved with DYK.. — Maile (talk) 12:30, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
