La Loca (opera)[edit]

  • ... that the opera La Loca (The Madwoman) was written as a vehicle for Beverly Sills in honor of her 50th birthday?
  • ALT1:... that Beverly Sills's 50th birthday present was the opera La Loca, written specifically for her to star in?
  • ALT2:... that composer Gian Carlo Menotti's opera La Loca was barely completed in time for its premiere, with revisions being made as late as the dress rehearsal?

Interesting article on good sources, offline sources accepted AGF. I like the original hook so much more than the others that I struck them, boldy adding the translation of the title to raise interest, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:13, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
