  • Comment: Found at AFD as a 429 character unsourced stub. As numerous sources existed, it was simple to bring it up to 3151 characters in a 7x expansion. ( Now at 11x expansion. )

I assume you intended to say that tickets for the concert sold out in 12 seconds. What the hook actually says is that tickets for the film sold out in 12 seconds. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 09:08, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

  • I made a minor edit in the lede, please check it and make sure it is correct. I think you have a wonderful reception section now, but we still have almost nothing on the film itself. There are bits and pieces in the reception section that do describe the film, so I'd suggest pulling them out and combining them with the Cast section to produce a new section like Plot (although I'm sure there's a better name). Ideally that would be longer than the reviews, but in this case I suspect it will be difficult to manage more than a few paras. But even an arching overview of the film would help a lot, and remember, you don't have to cite material taken from the subject itself. Maury Markowitz (talk) 12:13, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

The original hook felt a little clumsy, so I offer a more clearly written ALT:

Not an exaggeration to state "12 seconds", no more than stating something obvious such as the phrase "The sun may rise in the east but it does not set there". By way of comparison, online sales of tickets for Comic-Con is similarly fast (IE: a ticket sale fail was even spoofed in an episode The Big Bang Theory [1] where many thousands electronically lined up to buy tickets within seconds). Even with 130,000 passes available over a weekend, many Comic-Con fans were disappointed and sales databases crashed under the load. Inre Morrissey, and fgar fewer tickets available. the similar rush to purchase was no doubt a testament to block purchases by brokers, his fan base, and electronic media... and everyone tieing up online purchasing tools in their zeal.
I found the Morrissey 12-second statement similarly stated elsewhere,[2] but thought only one citation was needed. Quote: "Tickets for Morrissey's show at Hollywood High on March 2 have sold out within minutes of going on sale. By 10.01, all ticket-outlet systems were jammed, and it took 45 minutes to acknowledge all successful applications. Factually, all tickets sold out "in 12 seconds" according to the William Morris Agency"... IF a fan were among those lucky enough to be able to commit to a purchase within that first 12 seconds before the systems locked him out.
I've added that info and citation to the article but it's not a deal breaker or really a big deal, as that bit about 12 seconds was included only to draw readers to the article through an interesting hook. Why did no one simply ping me and suggest that 12-second bit be trimmed from the hook? Schmidt, Michael Q. 22:27, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
