Ueno Park[edit]

Created/expanded by Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk). Self nom at 22:22, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

  • Good to go. Nice article, but I'd consider adding to the hook a bit. That a Japanese park has cherry trees comes as little surprise - even the number would help. There are more unexpected things you could add. Johnbod (talk) 03:29, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
How about: Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 13:37, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
ALT1... that Ueno Park in Tokyo is home to ducks, a daibutsu, cherries, museums, and the homeless?
Ducks, schmucks! How many Japanese parks have a Monument to Ulysses Grant, or a zoo, or statues of foxes. Johnbod (talk) 13:43, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Everyone likes duckies... Grant's a bit heavy... and Fushimi Inari-taisha is the place for vulpes vulpes ; have expanded the shrines bit with some refs (and added in the national library and an early station...); how about: Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 15:24, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
ALT2... that Ueno Park in Tokyo is home to a fox shrine, a daibutsu, a National Museum, and the homeless?
The daibutsu isn't actually mentioned in the text, is it? Add a referenced sentence on that & any & all of the 3 will be ok to go. Johnbod (talk) 16:37, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
