Zareh Sinanyan[edit]

  • Created 15 Dec. 1991 B. No copyvio. online references checked. hook checks out. --Redtigerxyz Talk 16:29, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
  • The hook would be interesting if it were the first time we were hearing about an Armenian personality. But EtienneDolet has been pretty busy nominating one after another, so I think we should give readers something more interesting. I went ahead and expanded the article with more information that could be used for a hook, like:
  • ALT1: ... that Glendale city councilman Zareh Sinanyan supported the establishment of a memorial to Korean comfort women, citing his own background as the grandson of an Armenian Genocide survivor?
  • ALT2: ... that near the end of the annual Mayor's Ride bicycle tour in November, Glendale, California mayor Zareh Sinanyan's bike got a puncture?
  • I'd also like to note that the Armenian-language reference should be formatted with an English-language translation of the title. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 00:59, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
Yoninah (talk · contribs) Thank you for the expansion. Article looks great. I resorted to the "born in Armenia" hook cause there was really nothing more interesting in his career than that. After all, an immigrant becoming mayor is a rare occurrence. Now that the article's expanded, there's a lot more interesting tidbits we can use as hooks. I am fond of using both hooks. I'll let Redtigerxyz (talk · contribs) be the judge. Sorry to bring you back here again Redtigerxyz, but can you just check out these ALT hooks and let us know which one you'd like to go with? Thanks everyone. Étienne Dolet (talk) 02:05, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
ALT1 is good, but ALT2 seems like an WP:UNDUE in the article. I suggest removal from the article too. Redtigerxyz Talk 18:45, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
