This template can be used to create an infobox for any fictional creature from the series' :Primeval and Primeval: New World. It is only intended for use in List of creatures in Primeval where it is used 80 times. The blank form immediately below shows all of the fields, and complete instructions are listed further down the page.

Parameters[edit]
All parameters are optional.
 | Note that information which is not significant to the creature should not be included. |
| Parameter | Notes |

| name | Creature name to display in top header. May be wikilinked. Italicise if this is the taxonomic name rather than the common name. |
| image | Image of the creature. Do not include "File:" and do not wikilink. image width defaults to 180px and can not be changed. |
| species | The creature's species name. May be wikilinked. This will be automatically italicised. |
| period | Era, epoch or period to which the creature belongs |
| appeared | If the creature appeared in a book, name the book in this field. If the creature appeared in episodes do not use this field. Instead, list the first appearance in "|first_primeval=" or "|first_new_world=" and the last appearance in "|last_primeval=" or "|last_new_world=".If listing episodes they may be linked to the episode in the episode list using "[[List of Primeval episodes#epn|epname]]", where "n" equals the episode number and "epname" is the episode name. |

| returned | Yes/No. A brief comment may be included if necessary. Leave blank if the creature never left its era. |
