| 1202 | The Livonian Order is established, which would later pose a recurring threat to pagan Lithuania. |
| 1219 | Lithuanian and Samogitian dukes are mentioned in a written source for the first time, conducting a peace treaty. |

Mindaugas becomes the first Lithuanian ruler to be baptized in the Catholic Church. According to several accounts, Mindaugas later personally renounced Catholicism and reverted to paganism. |

| 1253-1263 | Period of Kingdom of Lithuania. |
