Template:R from sort name

• This is a redirect from the target's sorting name.

• • This redirect template is used to sort people by surname first, then given name (e.g. Smith, John), and to sort bands by name first, then the article, "The" or "A" (e.g. Beatles, The).

Usage

• This redirect category (Rcat) template populates Category:Redirects from sort names. Add this Rcat to a redirect in the following manner:

#REDIRECT [[(Target page name)]] {{R from sort name}}

This is in accord with instructions found at WP:REDCAT.

• Template {{This is a redirect}} may also be used to add this and other appropriate Rcats to a redirect.
• Use this Rcat on all redirects that are used to sort people by surname or family name first, then given name (e.g. Smith, John), and to sort bands by name first, then the article, "The" or "A" (e.g. Beatles, The).
• This Rcat also populates the Printworthy redirects category.
