Information.svg Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button Insert-signature.png or Button sig.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you.

Usage:

{{subst:Uw-tilde}}
{{subst:Uw-tilde|Article}} references a specific article
{{subst:Uw-tilde|Article|Additional text}} adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"
  • This template conforms to guidelines organized by the user warnings project. Please discuss the general visual appearance of these templates (for example, the image in the top-left corner) on the user warning talk page.
  • Please refer to the index of message templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.
  • Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-tilde}} rather than {{uw-tilde}}.
  • This template uses a parser function. To give greater detail to your message, you may add the article and some additional text to the end of the template. If such article or additional text includes a URL or anything which includes an equal sign ("="), it may break the parser's function unless you prefix the article or the text with "1=".
