Template:Under discussion/doc

1. This template is not for use in the main namespace, as it is an unnecessary self-reference.
2. Modify the default "page" to "section" (for example), with: {{Under discussion|section}}.
3. If the discussion concerns a proposed change to the status of a policy or guideline page (from policy to guideline, guideline to essay, etc.), then you may use {{Under discussion|status}}
4. Add a shortcut link or links, with: {{Under discussion|2=[[WP:SHORT]]}}.
5. To link to a specific talk page discussion, use {{Under discussion|talk=Section Title}} or {{Under discussion|section|talk=Section Title}}, replacing "Section Title" with the title of the section of the talk page where the discussion is taking place.
6. Alternatively, if the discussion is taking place elsewhere than on the talk page of the current page, use {{Under discussion|talkpage=Full page title}} or {{Under discussion|section|talkpage=Full page title}}. "Full page title" includes the namespace prefix (such as "Wikipedia talk:"), and may include a section title, following a # character.
