Usage

This maintenance template adds articles to the hidden category Category:Use British English to denote articles which have British English spelling. This is a spelling marker indicative of variants only from the viewpoint of the dictionary incorporated into ENGVAR script. The template and its use do not imply any statement, endorsement or otherwise of the code of English used in the tagged article. The script's author believes spellings are those commonly used in British English, Australian English, Indian English, Irish English, New Zealand English, Pakistani English, Singapore English, South African English. Please refer to the author if there is disagreement about words included in the dictionary.

In addition to using this template in the article itself, using the {{British English}} template in the talk page of the article will cause an informative box to appear on the talk page and will add the talk page to the non-hidden category Category:Wikipedia articles that use British English.
