Usage

This template {{WikiProject Football}} adds articles to one or more subcategories of Category:WikiProject Football articles and is a self-reference. Please add it to relevant articles' talk pages.

This template should be transcluded as {{WikiProject Football}} and not substituted {{subst:}} because it employs conditional code. Transclusion also allows easy updating of all the Project's talk pages without having to edit thousands of pages. For examples of how the template will appear under various parameter scenarios, please see Template:WikiProject Football/Examples.

While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has optional class parameters that add extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

Parameters legend

  • class: FA, FL, A, GA, B, C, Start, Stub, List, NA, Template, and Cat. If blank (#default), this will default as unassessed and list the article at Category:Unassessed football articles. NA is "non article", such as for categories (use Cat), disambiguous pages (use NA), images (use NA), portals (use NA), redirects (use NA), and templates (use Template). Descriptions of some of the options can be found at WikiProject Football/Quality scale.
  • importance: Top, High, Mid, and Low. If blank, this will default as unknown importance. Descriptions of the options can be found at WikiProject Football/Importance scale.
  • Argentina: Answer yes for articles relating to Argentine football. They will then come to the attention of the Argentine football task force.
  • Arsenal: Answer yes for articles relating to Arsenal F.C. They will then come to the attention of the Arsenal F.C. task force.
  • Australia: Answer yes for articles relating to Australian football (soccer). They will then come to the attention of the Australia task force.
  • Canada: Answer yes for articles relating to Canadian football (soccer). They will then come to the attention of the American and Canadian soccer task force.
  • Celtic: Answer yes for articles relating to Celtic F.C. They will then come to the attention of the Celtic F.C. task force.
  • DCUtd: Answer yes for articles relating to D.C. United. They will then come to the attention of the D.C. United task force.
