Usage

The {{WikiProject Television}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner.

Basic syntax:

General parameters:

• small – "yes" if the banner should be rendered in its miniature size; this should be used sparingly and only on crowded talk pages for the time being.
• class – a rating of the article's quality; see the assessment department for more details.
• auto – "yes" if the article has been automatically assessed; see the automation department for more details.
• attention – "yes" if the article requires immediate attention; see Category:Television articles needing attention for more details on when this should be used.
• needs-infobox – "yes" if the article requires an infobox; see Category:Television articles without infoboxes for more details on when this should be used.
• needs-refs – "yes" if the article requires an additional references; see Category:Television articles needing references for more details on when this should be used.
• needs-image – "yes" if the article requires an image; see Category:Wikipedia requested television images for more details on when this should be used.
• needs-production – "yes" if the article requires a production section; see Category:Television articles that need a production section for more details on when this should be used.
• needs-character – "yes" if the article requires a character or cast section; see Category:Television articles that need a character section for more details on when this should be used.
• needs-response – "yes" if the article requires a response section; see Category:Television articles that need a response section for more details on when this should be used.
• needs-episode-list – "yes" if the article requires an episode list; see Category:Television articles that need an episode list for more details on when this should be used.
• needs-synopsis – "yes" if the article requires a plot summary; see Category:Television articles that need a synopsis for more details on when this should be used.
• peer-review – "yes" if the article is currently listed for peer review by the project; see the review department for more details.

Task forces:

• law-&-order – "yes" if the article is supported by the Law & Order task force.
• desperate-housewives – "yes" if the article is supported by the Desperate Housewives task force.
• ER – "yes" if the article is supported by the ER task force.
• the-amazing-race – "yes" if the article is supported by the The Amazing Race task force.
• test-cards – "yes" if the article is supported by Test cards task force.
• avatar - "yes" if the article is supported by Avatar: The Last Airbender task force.
• the-o.c. - "yes" if the article is supported by The O.C. task force.
• glee - "yes" if the article is supported by Glee task force.
• episode-coverage - "yes" if the article is supported by the episode coverage task force.
• ad - "yes" if the article is supported by the Arrested Development task force.
• reality-tv - "yes" if the article is supported by the Reality television task force.
• beat - "yes" if the article is supported by the Broadcast engineering and technology task force.
• dexter - "yes" if the article is supported by the Dexter task force.
• vmars - "yes" if the article is supported by the Veronica Mars task force.
• prison-break - "yes" if the article is supported by the Prison Break task force.

Importance parameters: The following codes have been created for rating the assessment of articles to the various task forces:

• the-amazing-race-importance= - for the The Amazing Race task force
• desperate-housewives-importance= - for the Desperate Housewives task force
• ER-importance= - for the ER task force
• law-&-order-importance= - for the Law & Order task force
• test-cards-importance= - for the Test cards task force
• avatar-importance= - for the Avatar: The Last Airbender task force
• the-o.c.-importance= - for The O.C. task force
• glee-importance= - for Glee task force
• episode-coverage-importance= - for the episode coverage task force
• ad-importance= - for the Arrested Development task force
• reality-tv-importance- - for the Reality television task force
• beat-importance- - for the Broadcast engineering and technology task force
• dexter-importance= - for the Dexter task force
• vmars-importance= - for the Veronica Mars task force
• prison-break-importance= - for the Prison Break task force

To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
