Trailing period

This template does not consist of a full sentence. I am considering removing the trailing period. Reasons:

• The template does not consist of a full sentence.
• One therefore adds periods intuitively after the template, often leading to two periods.
• The only place in an english sentence where one can use this template is at the end.
