Time to split this template?[edit]

This template has grown too large! I think its time to split this template. • SbmeirowTalk • 18:12, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Step 1 - Determine new article names and how to split?

  • "Application ARM-based chips" <--- Cortex-A + ARMv7-A + ARMv8-A
  • "Embedded ARM-based chips" <--- Cortex-M + Cortex-R
  • "Classic ARM-based chips" <--- ARM7 to ARM11 and compatibles

Step 2 - Create new articles and copy text to new articles.

Step 3 - Migrate all articles that use current template over to new template.

Step 4 - After all usage has been convert, then delete this template.

What do you think of the proposed article names? Please respond. • SbmeirowTalk • 18:14, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
No response, so I went ahead and split it. Done. • SbmeirowTalk • 17:37, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
