Operation Fire Eater
Appropriately enough, the code name for these operations was 'Fire Eater'. Throughout the spring and summer months of 1943 the various units of Raiding Forces, Middle East operated over a wide area which extended beyond the Aegean Operation Fire Eater Series of Commando raids in Aegean 6/44  --Jim Sweeney (talk) 10:47, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Operation “Gradient”, a troop raid on the Northern Adriatic islands of Lussin and Cherso, was the next to be planned. After many changes in the target, 5 troop carried out the operation successfully on 9th Aug.
