Template:JaebeolTemplate:Chaebol

  1. Chaebol is an assimilated English loan word, which while deriving from an archaic romanization of Korean, is still used in English (WP:USEENGLISH).
  2. Jaebeol is a newer romanization of the Korean word that is virtually unknown in English. (WP:COMMONNAME) Google test: Chaebol 127,000 and Jaebeol 19,800 including many Korean-language webpages
  3. The current title's spelling variant doesn't even appear in dictionaries (e.g. Merriam Webster[1][2], American Heritage[3][4])
  4. The article to which this template refers has been named Chaebol since its creation in 2004. An attempted move in 2005 failed for similar reasons to the above.
