Linking with software originating from BeOS[edit]

Since not all the software on Haiku was written from scratch be the Haiku team, i don't believe prefixing every application's article with Haiku is appropriate. I have gone through the List of BeOS programs and fixed links (suffixing the article links with "(software)" where appropriate), and changed the links in this template to reflect those links. I'd also like to add that i only changed articles with red links. If you believe this was a wrong desision, i am not adverse to a revert :)

Also, since Tracker and Deskbar are both part of OpenTracker, i've changed the Deskbar link to go to the the Haiku Tracker article —Preceding unsigned comment added by The123king (talkcontribs) 09:23, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Well I was starting to doubt my decision to follow maxim's nomenclature, so your welcome to change the others if you want. Dlpkbr (talk) 13:50, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Preferences[edit]

Is having an article on every preference preflet really necesary? I personally think we coull quite easily bundle it into one article similar to the one on MS Windows control panel applets —Preceding unsigned comment added by The123king (talkcontribs) 09:49, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

I wanted to have an icon and screenshot for every preflet, but I guess you can still do that in a wikitable. Dlpkbr 13:58, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

The only critism i had, was that having an article for every preflet would lead to a lot of stubs with about 3 lines of text and a screenshot. By having one article for the Haiku preflets, we wouldn't have that problem, and we could have a much more detailed article about the idea of the preflets in general. Plus, it would be a lot easier to administer. The123king (talk) 17:03, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation needed[edit]

The links to Package, Pc, Rcs, and Writembr need to be disambiguated. Since this is a template, I think it's better to have an expert do it than to guess or add a "dn" tag. GoingBatty (talk) 20:41, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
