I think we shouldn't have these question marks there. We could just put them in when we make them.

Those are default values: if you don't supply an actual value for the quantity, you get those question marks. HTH HAND —Phil | Talk 23:30, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
But I just highlight the info from the box, I don't copy a box from another artical. These question marks hide these things. I would like it if these QMs wern't there. — HurricaneDevon @ 23:44, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
You can open the template edit into another window, or write down the variables. Wikicode should never be visible in the articles, it's only for those who edit articles.--Jyril 06:35, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Is there any way to make the name at the top of the extrasolar planet box smaller, at present it is larger than the starbox (often found on the same pages as this template) header, which looks odd. Chaos syndrome 00:07, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Added a quick fix. The large title is derived from infobox template style, and I used smaller font here which cancels it. Better ideas are welcome.--Jyril 06:35, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Terrestrial planet information[edit]

With the more discoveries of planets with years, masses, and radii similar to Earth, we ned to be prepared. Similar to the { ly ( pc)}, I put a separated thing where you could put the planets orbit in years, earth mass, and earth radius. I also made it so it dosn't make more room by making it blank (for not earth-related planets) — HurricaneDevon @ 20:14, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

I put it to the test in PSR 1257+12. — HurricaneDevon @ 23:27, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Optional parameters[edit]

If only one of the parameters period and period_year is specified then the template does not leave a ? in the box. Same applies for mass and mass_earth. Chaos syndrome 17:01, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
