Man'yogana In Infoboxes[edit]

transliteration ke
hiragana origin
katakana origin

As you can see, the two man'yogana are listed, but which one is the progenitor of which kana is not specified. They list the Man'yōgana that the kana derives from, but it NEEDS to be made clear which mayogana the hiragana derives from and where the katagana dervies from. For excample, け comes from 計 and ケ comes from 介, but the info box does not make that clear. I made the mistake. (talk) 23:01, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Reason of Dec 2012 edit[edit]

I changed the display "hiragana/katakana manyogana" to "h/k origin". In manyougana, there's no hiragana nor katakana, and multiple kanjis represented a syllable. See also hentaigana for the history of kana. Thanks for your interest in Japanese. --Ahora (talk) 09:03, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
