Why was the image color changed from green to purple? Green certainly seems more Islamic... AnonMoos 17:16, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

- Well, the previously-linked image at this template was green, as you can see at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Islam-stub&oldid=17084970 and Image:Ift32.gif, and it seemed odd to change to a less symbolically appropriate color... AnonMoos 01:37, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

- Both are suitable, so I don't really mind which is used. I personally prefer Allah-green.svg because it's a representation of Islamic calligraphy (it employs the Naskh script, which is a popular style of rendering the Qur'an), and because Allah is the central figure in Islam.
