Encodefirst should be integrated[edit]
Even with 14,000+ edits, I learnt of {{Encodefirst}} only today when I read about it on WP:VPT. A new editor is very much unlikely to know about its existence. Now its documentation says, "For example, {{la}} fails as of August 2017 if its argument starts with * ". So, instead of having the users figure out how to fix the issue, the template itself should integrate whatever is needed to fix things. When we insert the name of a talk page, there is a bug (example). To correct it, you will have to replace "[[Talk:{{{1}}}]]" by "{{TALKPAGENAME:{{{1|}}}}}". 176.173.221.52 (talk) 11:16, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Not done: This is an improper use case issue. {{lt}} is the template for linking templates; {{la}} is for linking articles. Primefac (talk) 12:41, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
