Template talk:Middle Eastern music

This template should reflect the musical diversity of Arabic-speaking countries, and not simply be reduced to "Arab music", or for that matter Muslim, which is rather ideological. I think a template on 'Middle Eastern music' would be more suitable and would also open it up to include other related musical genres, like Turkish or Persian. For the record, the common expression used in many countries is "Eastern music" (sharqiya) — Zerida 02:12, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
