Template creation[edit]

This template was created due to a discussion on Template talk:Modern Dharmic writers#Title change. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 05:35, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

Why does this template not include the list of Buddhists that are in the Dharmic religions template? Are they not also Buddhists? This template shouldn't selectively remove writers that live outside India but are writers on dharmic or Indian religions. And schizophrenically the template still includes Western writers like Edward Conze but excludes others like the Dalai Lama and Lama Govinda who live in India and writes on dharmic/Indian religions.--Trphierth (talk) 22:14, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
They are included at List of modern Eastern religions writers, to which the template links. Greetings, Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 03:49, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
I still think all Buddhist writers should be included here. Many of those removed have also written books on Indian philosophy and culture. --Trphierth (talk) 16:49, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
They are all included at List of modern Eastern religions writers, which is the most inclusive. It does justice to the Indian origins, but also to the specific regional differences. "Indian philosophy and culture", wouldn't that make yet another two categories, next to "religion", namely Indian philosophy and Indian culture? Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 19:08, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
