I just created this:
Template:FA Premier League Matches 2006-07
I have been bold and added it, if you don't like it then tell me why rather than just removing it without a word. - MTC 18:19, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

I really don't have an opinion one way or the other, but just be warned that FAPL fixtures are copyrighted, and the FA charges a fee for their use (results are public domain and don't apply). If anyone at the FA notices them, it could cause problems (at least for the Wikipedia legal team). So basically my advice is proceed at your own risk, as the fixtures might be removed anyway. - Pal 18:38, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
I can't imagine the FA would have a problem with putting them here for informative purposes, also I wasn't the one who created those fixture pages, I just find them helpful and I thought putting them in a template for easy navigation would be a good idea. - MTC 19:56, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Too long?[edit]

I think this template is far too long - some pages like Arsenal F.C. have over a screen's length of navboxes at the bottom now. As this template is generally being included in clubs' and seasons' pages I propose removing the "Football in England" and "Women's Football in England" sections from this template, as they are not directly relevant to clubs or seasons. I wholeheartedly concur. Part of the motivation in standardising these navboxes was to make it easier to drop some of the clutter out. Individual boxes can be transcluded on a case by case basis. veila# 12:18, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Right, I've done it (having forgotten to do it some weeks ago!) Qwghlm 22:52, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

"Arsenal undefeated season"[edit]

I really don't think this needs to be included in the "Statistics and awards" section of the template, as it is neither. It is simply piped to the Arsenal F.C. season 2003–04 article, which seems to be just another way of adding an Arsenal article to the template. Then a similar case could be made for adding the Manchester United Treble winning season, or other records achieved by individual clubs. This stuff should not be in the Premier League template in my opinion. What do other people think? Feudonym (talk) 03:57, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

It's a stand-out Premier League record, it is clearly a notable PL statistic. Another team doing the Treble while losing some games, doesn't change that. MickMacNee (talk) 18:06, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
