Template-protected edit request on 5 February 2022[edit]

"deletable image-caption" was changed to {{deletable file-caption}}. The PROD template should reflect that accordingly. --George Ho (talk) 00:44, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 5 April 2022[edit]

I notice that when an IP address proposes a deletion, clicking on the IP address after "proposed by" redirects to the userpage of the IP address. See https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Yleventa2/sandbox&oldid=1081171384 for an example.

However, under "View History" on any page, clicking on an IP address redirects to the "User contributions" of that address. I believe that also clicking on the IP after "proposed by" should redirect to the "User contributions" of that address. Yleventa2 (talk) 18:52, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Prodding of drafts[edit]

I swear, literally every time I monitor CAT:PROD, there's at least one draft in there. Often several. Is there a better way to get people to stop uisng it on drafts? Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 19:31, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wrap the relevant template in {{Namespace detect}} and display appropriate text for different namespaces? – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:40, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Where's the option for "get editors to stop ignoring giant red warning text"? Like seriously, how the fuck do you not notice that? Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 04:22, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Banner blindness is real. You can't change humans. You can only work around them. We could also recruit a bot to automatically remove prod templates in namespaces where they don't belong. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:32, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder if it would make sense for SD0001 to add this to their bot's PROD-related tasks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:40, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If there is a way for bots to auto-revert prods placed on non-articles, then I'm all for it. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 17:22, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
My sense is that more than half (but not all!) of prodded drafts are due to new users deciding to delete their own draft, and accidentally getting the wrong deletion process. These can normally be replaced by {{db-blanked}}, but it's hard to do by bot – working out whether the author is the only substantial contributor is something that bots are not good at doing. Automatically removing the prod template would be wrong in these cases, though. --ais523 12:29, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 5 November 2022[edit]

My Wikipedia page, Zorba Paster, has an old photo which I would like removed. I would like to have 2 new photos with the Dalai Lama placed on this page.

A. Please delete the old photo. B. Please tell me how to upload 2 new photos, one taken just the other day.

Thanks you
