Need to be clearer as to what is meant by Top US shows[edit]

There doesn't seem to a clear idea of what is meant by Top US show here. Is it best ratings by househould numbers or the highest viewer numbers? These are two separate ways of ranking shows (the top show can change in some years if you use different ranking system), and it isn't clear which ranking this template uses, seems like a mixture of both which is the wrong of doing it. Also that American has two airings a week, and it is not correct to list American Idol as the top show in 2003-04, because only the Tuesday show had the most viewers, it is actually #2 in when you look the show as a whole (using some kind of average viewers number over Tuesday and Wednesday).
