Four types of links are generally considered unacceptable with in a navigation box:
External links since they dump the reader out of Wikipedia.
Red links since the 'box is supposed to help navigate existing articles, not promote the need for them.
Non-links for pretty much the same reason. A non-link is either a non-existent article or an article where the 'box would not normally be added. (I've already cleared these out.)
Links to either redirects or specific sections of an article or list. Both of these break one aspect of the 'box coding. That is the bolding and de-linking the text for the page a reader is currently on.
Right now 41 of the 44 links point to sections, 4 of them to lists and 3 of those to the same list. The 37 articles are going to be trimmed to just point to the articles. This should put the table of contents in view for the reader and the can jump from there to the film character. (I say "should", but that assumes the lead is short enough not to push the ToC out of sight.)
As for the other 4, one is getting de-linked since it is a group header. The other 3 should be removed even though they are main characters in the films.
