Ten Mile Junction LRT Station (BP14) is an LRT station on the Bukit Panjang LRT Line in Singapore. It was opened in November 1999 and is operated by SMRT. This LRT station is the only one that is air-conditioned, has platform screen doors and has only one track.
The other track is for trains to head forward to the LRT station depot without stopping at the station. Trains may head straight to the depot after ending its service, or reverse to continue its journey to Bukit Panjang LRT/MRT Station.

[edit] Etymology
The station and the building it is located in, the Junction 10 shopping centre (then Ten Mile Junction), was named after the distance (10 miles/16 kilometers) of the junction located outside it as calculated from the city along Bukit Timah Road and Upper Bukit Timah Road.
[edit] Train service
Ten Mile Junction LRT Station was closed due to the redevelopment of Ten Mile Junction Shopping Centre. It was reopened on 30th December 2011 with the resumption of Service C in tandem with the soft launch of the revamped mall, now renamed Junction 10. The LRT station, however, retained the name 'Ten Mile Junction LRT Station'. [1]

[edit] Vicinity
The station is connected with Johor Bahru, Malaysia by 2 SBS Transit bus services, 160 and 170, which stop near this station. The station is on the site of the former Bukit Panjang Police Station. The hill which the police station was situated was leveled to make way for the station in 1996. A shopping centre, Ten Mile Junction, now Junction 10 is situated below the LRT station.
This station is the headquarters of SMRT Light Rail, a wholly owned subsidiary of SMRT. This is where LRT trains are directed from as the LRT system is a driver-less light transit system. LRT trains on the Bukit Panjang LRT Line are parked in this station.
[edit] Station closure
SMRT announced on December 6, 2010 that the station will be closed from December 10, 2010 to the end of 2011 due to re-development of Ten Mile Junction shopping centre that resulted a closure to the entire mall as well. Bukit Panjang LRT Service C, which operates from Ten Mile Junction, was withdrawn until the end of 2011.[2]
