Teruyoshi Ito (伊東 輝悦 Itō Teruyoshi?) (born 31 August 1974 in Shizuoka) is a Japanese football midfielder. He had spent his career at only Shimizu S-Pulse for the last 18 years. He was also capped 27 times for the Japanese national team between 1997 and 2001.[1] He was an unused substitute at the 1998 FIFA World Cup. And is most well known for his goal against Brazil in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta which earned Japan a shock 1-0 victory. In 2007 he received the fair play award at the J. League end of season awards.[2]
