Tessa Pollitt (born 1959) was the bass guitarist for the punk rock outfit The Slits, between 1976 and 1981, when the band first split up.[1] She returned to the band when it was reformed in 2006.
Pollitt had replaced the band's original bassist, Suzy Gutsy, who left after only a few weeks in tenure in 1976.[2]
