The 22 June song was a Soviet folk song during World War II based on the melody of the pre-war waltz The Blue Kerchief ("Синий платочек") composed by Jerzy Petersburski. There are a number of versions of this song. The two most common ones are a "we will return" version and a "we will finish off the Germans" version.
