The Amber Light are an alternative rock band from Wiesbaden, Germany. The band has received critical acclaim[1][2] for its albums Goodbye to Dusk Farewell to Dawn (2004), Stranger & Strangers (2005) and most recently Play (2008), a collaboration with Wir sind Helden guitarist Jean-Michel Tourette. The Amber Light were formed by Louis Gabbiani, Jan Sydow and Rabin Dasgupta "at the start of the 21st century" (according to their myspace page)[3] and have played shows with artists such as Marillion, New Model Army and Wir sind Helden. They are currently signed to German label Superball Music (...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Oceansize), who released Play in 2008.[4]
