The Brown Album is an album by rapper/producer Kev Brown. Recorded inside a week, it was the first unofficial remix of Jay-Z's The Black Album, and one of many remixes of that album, released by various, mostly unknown, producers. Featuring 8 songs and an introduction, the album omits several of the original album's 13 songs and includes edited versions of the Jay-Z acapellas. Brown also restructures the chorus of the originally club-driven "Dirt Off Your Shoulder", adding his own background vocals over a warm, mellow groove. With a limited number of copies pressed, the album can now mainly be found on file sharing networks, or for sale on eBay.
