Peter Rauhofer is a DJ, remixer and producer who formerly went under the moniker Club 69 as well as Size Queen. A native of Vienna, Austria, he is famous for his remixes of a number of Madonna's songs including "Nothing Really Matters", "American Life", "Nothing Fails, "Nobody Knows Me", "Get Together, "Impressive Instant, and "4 Minutes", as well as her collaboration with Britney Spears, "Me Against The Music". He has also provided remixes for Whitney Houston, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Yoko Ono, Pink and Mariah Carey. He is also behind the tribal house record label Star 69 and is frequently a producer of the label's releases.
Rauhofer is also a popular DJ who presently spins throughout the United States. He was the former resident DJ at the weekly gay dance night held at the Roxy in New York, which closed its doors in 2007.[1] Rauhofer is currently the resident DJ of the gay dance party called "Work." Peter's party was held weekly at the Stereo nightclub in New York until March 3, 2008 when the City invoked eminent domain and acquired the building. "Work" is currently a monthly event, despite lacking a permanent venue.
Rauhofer is mostly known for spinning tribal house and used to play many gay circuit party events, until a falling out with the organizers of the White Party in Miami, a fundraiser for the AIDS charity Care Resource.[2] In 2009, Rauhofer angered national and Miami gay activists when he produced an event the same night as the Winter Party, a charity event produced by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.[3][4] In 2010, local activists protested outside Rauhofer's event, sporting t-shirts emblazoned with the logo "StopPeter.com"[5], and claiming that Rauhofer was "profiteering on the backs of the LGBT community.[6] In addition, twenty-five Miami community leaders signed an open letter to Rauhofer and The Opium Group, owners of the club hosting Rauhofer's event, asking them to "not sponsor a competing party next year." Rauhofer ignored these requests, and produced a competing party in 2011. One is also scheduled in 2012.[7]
Peter Rauhofer (Club 69) won the Grammy Award in 2000 for Best Remixer of the Year the remix of Cher - Believe.[8]

[edit] The Collaboration
The Collaboration was a dance music project created by Rauhofer. Rauhofer's first release as The Collaboration was "Do It Properly," a 1999 track produced with Victor Calderone, featuring Deborah Cooper on vocals. The Collaboration moniker was then used by Rauhofer on "Break 4 Love," a number one Hot Dance Music/Club Play hit featuring Pet Shop Boys.[citation needed]
