[edit] Album information
Dion worked with people who helped her on previous albums Unison and Celine Dion: David Foster, Walter Afanasieff or Diane Warren to name a few.
This album represents the international success of Céline Dion. With The Colour of My Love she achieved worldwide fame.
Non-U.S. version of the album included additional song "Just Walk Away" (issued as a promotional single in Spain). The Colour of My Love was re-released in Japan on October 23, 1995 with a bonus track "To Love You More", which became a number one hit in that country.
The Colour of My Love was noteworthy in that, in the dedication section, it was the first public acknowledgment that Dion had fallen in love with her manager, René Angélil. In the dedication, Dion had named Angélil "the colour of [her] love."
With "When I Fall in Love" and "The Power of Love" Céline Dion got two Grammy Awards nominations for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance respectively.
She won many awards during The Colour of My Love era, including: Ivor Novello Award for "Think Twice," Japan Gold Disc Award for "To Love You More," IRMA Award for The Colour of My Love, and World Music Award for World’s Best Selling Canadian Female Recording Artist of the Year. Dion received also many Juno Awards and Félix Awards, and was nominated for an American Music Award.
She did The Colour of My Love Tour to support the album. The Colour of My Love Concert home video was also released.
On September 12, 2008, a combo containing The Colour of My Love CD and The Colour of My Love Concert DVD was released.

[edit] Chart success
In the United States, it has shipped 6 million copies and was certified 6x platinum[3] (4,502,000 copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan).[4]
After selling 4 million copies in Europe, The Colour of My Love was certified 4x platinum by the IFPI.[5] It was awarded with multi-platinum certifications in many European countries, including the United Kingdom where it has sold 1,816,915[6] and achieved 5x platinum status[7] (and is eligible for 6x platinum after selling over 1,800,000 copies). Dion garnered tremendous success with The Colour of My Love, particularly in the UK, where the album stood for five weeks at the top of the British albums chart, while "Think Twice" reigned simultaneously atop the British singles chart. This accomplishment was last achieved by The Beatles. Both album and single spent 7 weeks in total at the top of the UK charts.[8]
In Canada, the album has sold 1.4 million copies[9] and it was certified diamond.[10] Also in Japan it has topped the 1 million units sales point and was certified with a million award.[11]

The album went to number 1 the following countries: Norway (ten weeks at the top), Australia (eight weeks), UK (seven weeks), Canada (six weeks), Ireland (four weeks), Belgium Flanders (four weeks), and Greece. The Colour of My Love reached also top 10 in many other charts, including number 2 in the Netherlands, New Zealand and Portugal, number 4 in the U.S., Sweden and on the European Top 100 Albums, number 7 in France, Japan, Finland and Spain, and number 9 in Switzerland.
