The Crossroads Mall is a shopping mall located in Portage, Michigan. The mall features four anchor stores (Macy's, J.C. Penney, Sears, and Burlington Coat Factory), as well as 100 stores and a food court The Crossroads Mall has been owned since 1999 by General Growth Properties.

The Crossroads Mall opened in Portage, Michigan, in 1980. Originally anchoring the mall were Hudson's, J.C. Penney, and Sears, with Mervyn's opening in the late 1980s. General Growth Properties acquired the mall in 1999,[1] and renovated the food court in the early 2000s.
Hudson's was re-named Marshall Field's in 2001, and subsequently became Macy's in September 2006. Mervyn's closed in early 2006 along with the rest of the chain's Michigan stores, and Burlington Coat Factory opened its first Kalamazoo store in the space vacated by Mervyn's.

Television station WWMT analyzed crime statistics for several shopping malls in West Michigan, and found that none, including The Crossroads, were willing to be interviewed on-air.[2]
The Crossroads told the television station that it increases security for the holiday period, but did not reveal specifics.[3]
In 1992, a 14-year-old was arrested after someone let off tear gas at The Crossroads, forcing the mall to be evacuated.[4] [5]
