The Day Texas Sank to the Bottom of the Sea is the first release by American singer-songwriter Micah P. Hinson. The single was released on August 16, 2004, as a 10-inch vinyl on Sketchbook Records in the UK. "The Day Texas Sank to the Bottom of the Sea" would appear less than a month later as the last track on Hinson's debut album, Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress.
