The Fairly OddParents's actual origins premiered as Oh Yeah! Cartoons. The Fairly OddParents first premiered on September 4, 1998 with the episode, "The Fairly OddParents!", plus the first appearance of Timmy Turner, Cosmo, Wanda, and Vicky. The shorts season ended on March 23, 2001 with the short, "Super Humor", a week before the official series began. Before The Fairly OddParents series officially began, The Fairly OddParents aired 10 total shorts through 1998-2001. Each short has been released to DVD.

| 10-year-old Timmy Turner is left alone by his parents with a cruel babysitter, Vicky. After being sent to his room early, beaten and miserable from Vicky's treatment, Timmy throws his Magic 9-Ball against the wall in frustration. The 9-ball breaks, and from it emerge two Fairy Godparents named Cosmo and Wanda, a fairy couple who can grant nearly anything Timmy wishes for! |

| Having been left alone with a demanding, "injured" Vicky babysitting him and using him as a servant, Timmy wishes up a bunch of clones to do his chores for him, but chaos ensues when they scare Vicky out of her mind! |

| While Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda are playing Greenbeard, Wanda's wand accidentally ends up with Vicky. She uses Wanda's wand as a prop for her fairy costume at her costume party, and Timmy needs to get back the wand since it is granting Vicky's wishes. |

| Timmy has been invited to Tootie's birthday party, but has to take Cosmo and Wanda along because they have the fairy flu and can't be left unattended at his house. Unfortunately, Cosmo and Wanda's constant sneezing wreaks havoc upon Tootie, Vicky, the party guests and Timmy himself. |

| For one day in a certain number of years, a fairy godparent has to be "bad," and it is Cosmo's turn. There is just one problem: he is horrible at being "bad." Timmy and Wanda try to help him. So they enlist in the help of the conqueror Genghis Khan to teach him how to be bad, and soon Cosmo has a plan to blow up the earth. |

Nickelodeon showed the first three Crimson Chin webisodes compiled with all of the Oh Yeah! Cartoons shorts except for "Where's the Wand?". However, they have stopped airing due to the television special premiere of The Big Superhero Wish.
