The Forum (Kannada: ದ ಫೋರಂ) is a popular shopping mall located on Hosur Road in Koramangala, Bangalore city in Karnataka, India. The Forum is also Bangalore's first full-fledged mall with a multi-story book store, 11 cinema halls and other entertainment facilities.
The Mall is popular among the youth in Bangalore and an attraction to those coming to Bangalore. The shopping mall houses 625,000 sq ft (58,100 m2) of shops over four levels.[1] The mall has everything from shoes to exercise equipment. A major attraction at the mall is the multiplex, PVR, which houses 11 screens and it features the latest Hollywood, Bollywood and Kannada movies. The food court is called The Transit Lounge and is designed like an airport Transit Lounge. One can indulge one's taste buds at Transit, KFC, Pizza Hut or Mc Donald's.
PVR (Priya Village Roadshow) opened India's largest 11 screen multiplex in 2004 at the Forum. It was built by the Prestige group in August 2002

The Forum is located in a part of Bangalore with a large concentration of large multinational corporations such as: Robert Bosch, DELL, Oracle Corporation, Accenture Services Pvt Ltd and Hewlett Packard present in the vicinity. A large number of shoppers are from Christ University and Christ Junior College, located only about 400 meters from The Forum. The Transit is one of the most popular loactions among st the college students.[2]
The forum has opened a new mall called The Forum Value Mall in Whitefield, Bangalore which will house factory outlets. Built-up area is 473,000 sq ft (43,900 m2). This mall is going to house Arvind Mill's Megamart store apart from Transit for food court and Fame Cineplex for the movie experience.
Other Forum malls are also going to come up at Cochin, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Mangalore and Chennai. In Hyderabad, it is coming up at Kukatpally, Hyderabad where it will be called as "The Forum Crystal Mall".[3]

The Forum Mall has two parking areas. A large multi level parking area is present inside the main mall and is accessible from both the Dairy circle-Koramangala road and the Adugodi-Koramangala road. An additional overflow parking lot is only accessible from the Adugodi-Koramangala road.

On January 26, 2009, a minor electrical fire broke out at Transit, the food court at the mall which however was quickly contained.[4]
Many visitors are complaining about the lack of safety in the mall as the fire exits and emergency exits are always locked with a chain and pad lock. In case of an emergency this could prove to be a severe problem.
