The Free Music Maker is a non-profit organization founded by Zack Berman that distributes musical instruments to schools serving economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. Operating in the San Francisco Bay Area, it has collected 33 instruments so far. An application has been made for 501(c)(3) tax exempt/charitable status to allow donations to be tax deductible.
