[edit] References to other media
-
- The album name is a reference to the "Further Adventures of Jimmy and Wes."
- Both "Civilization Day" and "Tomorrow Never Knows" sample The Firesign Theatre's album "Everything You Know Is Wrong."
- Frank Zappa's first album Freak Out! and the late J Dilla, are featured with the speech bubble containing the words 'Freak Out!' in the lower right corner of the album cover (this also appeared on the Freak Out! album cover).
- Madlib mentions the Treat Your Mother Right music video by Mr. T
- Lastly, the cover art makes several references to the 1973 movie, Fantastic Planet, which is also Madlib's source of inspiration for Quasimoto's appearance.
