Built more than 130 years ago in 1874, 34c Gabriels Hill, Maidstone was once a seed and grain warehouse.

In 1992 the venue was converted from a small function room into a nightclub called Warehouse 2, a reference to it being the replacement venue for the original Warehouse nightclub in Lockmeadow which was closed to make way for a new link road.

Today known as The Loft, the venue has played host to many club nights including Hed Kandi, Sounds Heavenly, Babyshake, Fling, Serious and Nic Fanciulli’s ClubClass. Some of the world’s finest DJs have performed at the venue, including Erick Morillo, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Danny Howells and Pete Tong, whose set was broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 in February 2005.
