The Peter Principle (TV series)

The Peter Principle is a BBC television show about a branch of the fictional County and Provincial Bank, which ran from 1995 to 2000. It is now a part of the PBS program lineup at some PBS stations, which call it The Boss. The program takes its name from the Peter Principle, that In a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence.

Jim Broadbent as Peter Duffley, an inept bank manager who somehow manages to stay in his job.
Claire Skinner as Susan Harvey, the assistant manager who manages to hold things together.
David Schneider as Bradley, a not very smart employee who is always willing to follow Peter.
Janette Legge as Iris, Peter's eccentric secretary.
Stephen Moore as Geoffrey, an employee with a dry sense of humour.
Tracy Keating as Brenda.
Daniel Flynn as David, the regional manager, who wants to have an affair with Susan even though he is married.
Wendy Nottingham as Evelyn Walker, A cashier who suffers from bad nerves and spends more time on the phone to the samaritans than she does serving customers.
