The Plight is a hardcore punk band from Leeds, England. The band formed in the winter of 2005 and has released a demo, two E.P.'s and one album. The Plight have toured the UK and Europe extensively with bands such as Gallows (band) and Converge (band).
After releasing their demo, The Plight signed to Thirty Days Of Night Records, with whom they released a self titled, seven track E.P.
In March 2007 The Plight were signed by Visible Noise Records. Their debut Visible Noise release Black Summer, was released on October 8 2007 and was well received by the press, earning a 'KKKK' from Kerrang magazine.
The band appeared on a UK tour with Poison The Well in April 2008, followed by a European tour with Converge in July. In May 2009 they were part of the Vans 'Off The Wall' Uk Tour alongside SSS and Cancer Bats.
Their first full-length album will be released in October 2009 and is titled 'Winds Of Osiris'.
The Plight are endorsed by Gibson Guitars.
