The Praetorian is a free, privately and independently funded quarterly published newspaper in Riverside, California founded at the University of California, Riverside in 2007. Its first issue was on February 6, 2007, Republican president Ronald Reagan's birthday. The paper includes conservative articles that relate current affairs and politics to life at the University of California, Riverside.

The paper received its start-up capital and is funded for the most part by the Collegiate Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Wilmington, Delaware. The paper also operates off funds from various private donors.
