The Spirit of St. Louis is an autobiography by Charles Lindbergh about his solo trans-Atlantic flight in the Spirit of St. Louis in 1927. The book was published in 1953, and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1954. Lindbergh's literary agent, George T. Bye, sold the film rights to Hollywood for more than a million dollars.
A copy of the book flew in space on the first competitive Ansari X Prize flight in 2004, SpaceShipOne flight 16P. The X Prize was inspired by the prize that Lindbergh won for his flight.
